My favorite beaches are all in Hawaii. I grew up from age 4 on Kauai, Oahu and the Big Island. I grew up when Kauai beaches were nearly pristine, so family trips to Poipu and Barking Sands beaches were a delight. We moved to Oahu when I was age 7 and I fell in love with Ala Moana beach for a while then all the North Shore. Hukilau and Temple beaches were across the street from our house so I swam and played there nearly everyday. Anyone walked out to Goat Island?  What a childhood we had, exploring and having fun without much worry from our parents.
